Understand how you need to apply force to the club to bring that impact about.

  • Controlling Your Golf Ball

    Your bad shots hurt your score more than your good ones gain you. Controlling your golf ball so as never to miss in the wrong place is paramount to eliminating big scores. You will never hurt every shot perfect but if you can understand how to avoid putting force on the ball in a manner that ruins your score elevates your ability to shoot lower scores.

  • Recognizing situations

    If you are not able to recognize danger you cannot expect to eliminate it. Regardless of the player everyone falls into the same category of misses. If those misses match the penalty of the hole you are playing you need to recognize that and apply force on the club in a way that applies force on the ball to eliminate that danger without eliminating your need to play defensively.

  • Hitting & Landing Surfaces

    You cannot bring about an impact if the surface you are hitting from doesn’t allow you to make that impact. The surface you are hitting from or landing on often determines the variety of shot you may be able to hit.

  • Practice

    If practice were about hitting balls on a range everybody would be getting better. Knowing which parts of your game have more or less outcome to your score allow to you to focus on those areas while working on mechanics, playing the game and keeping track of progress or regression.
